Adam Alyan Finally Releases E.P ‘Love. Thyself’ (Album Review)
We zoomed in on X22 SOUND recording artist, Adam Alyan. The 29-year-old musician has just released his very first official project. An extended play album titled ‘Love. Thyself’. This review is going to give you insight on the style and feel of the album. Independent drip listened and really like the overall theme going on. As you start the first song, you are entranced in a sweet innocent pop vibe ‘Drug Like’. The music is playful and the lyrics are pure, it’s a simple yet warm sound. Followed by the horoscope titled track ‘Aquarius’ which is more vivid and helps paints a visual in our minds. Track 2’s story is a must-listen and the lyrics are self-explanatory. Then on to ‘Freakend’ a personal favorite. The song has a hip hop yet tropical feel to it, almost as if you are on vacation thinking about your bad drunk desicions. Track 4 is when it get’s interesting! ‘In Person’ is a modern day r&b track that goes in depth about missing your loved one. The vocals on this song are beautifully layered and the background vocals really bring the story to life. Just when we thought we got all the different vibes we can, ‘If I Can’t See Heaven’ makes an appearance as the close. A heartbreaking yet honest concern is brought to light here. It’s a stripped down piano ballad, no drums or clutter. While all the tracks are incredible and different, track 5 is definetly the one people would wanna see live. It makes for a nice intimate moment, a real tear jerker.
